Mrs. Soles was born in Brunswick County on March 12, 1938 to the late Bruce Lee Baggett and Mittie Gray Baggett. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook, often feeding many of her son's friends. Mrs. Soles loved the outdoors, the beach, and fishing and oystering with her late husband Elton.
Survivors include her daughter Sharon Hall of Fayetteville; two sons, Thomas G. Cooper, II and wife Bobbie of Bolivia, and David B. Cooper and wife Amy of Wade; two grandchildren, Justin Hall of Roseboro, and Crystal Nunnery of Salemburg; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Soles was preceded in death by her husband Elton H. Soles.
A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. The service will also be broadcast via Facebook Live.
