Mr. Lewis was born December 24, 1937, son of the late Troy and Maggie Lewis. He had been a butcher for 40 plus years and enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors include his son, Christopher Lewis and wife Crystal; three grandchildren, Alex Cockman, Tyler Lewis, Ashlyn Lewis; three brothers, Jerry Lewis, Roger Lewis, and Dwight Lewis; and a sister, Linda Bowyer. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Sanders, Shirley Hartman, and Joyce Risen.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The family will have visitation at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
