

Mr. Lewis was born October 19, 1928 to David A. and Mary B. Lewis in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He grew up in St. Michael, Pennsylvania, graduated from Adams Township High School where he had played football, and was class president. He received the honor of All State center for his high school team in 1946. Mr. Lewis also received a scholarship to University of Virginia and from there he joined the United States Marines. He completed the chemical engineering degree at University of Pittsburgh after his military service. Mr. Lewis was employed by Union Carbide and worked many areas including Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and finally New York, and Connecticut. He retired to Yaupon Beach, North Carolina in 1985 where he enjoyed playing golf, and opening and working at Bridge Point Auto with his son Eric.
David was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy.
Survivors include four children, Janice Milot of Canada, Vicki Falcon of Hope Mills, David Robert of Leland, and Eric (Liz) of Southport; sister Shirley of Southport
