Denny was born September 8, 1953, son of the late William and Erma Taylor Jolly. He was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina and moved to Fairbanks, Alaska for thirty years before making his home in Oak Island.
Left to cherish his memory is his longtime partner, Melanie Hansen; son, Jason Jolly and wife Sara; stepchildren, Whitney Paolino and Eli Hansen; grandchildren, Jackson Jolly, Landon Paolino, and Leiton Hansen; sister, Judy J. Beasley and husband John; brothers, Billy Ray Jolly and wife Linda; nephew, John “Johnny” Cain and wife Nicole; and niece Tammy Barry and husband George.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Person St. United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. A reception celebrating his life will follow the service at the home of George and Tammy Barry, 2709 Colgate Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28304.
