Donald Henry Keith

It is with sadness that the family of Donald (Don) Keith, 85, of Southport, NC, announce that he passed peacefully at home on June 9, 2025. Don was born on December 15, 1939, to parents Theodore Keith and Emma Elizabeth Keith in Newark, NJ. He was a devoted husband to his loving and dedicated wife Anne Marie Keith of 60 years, and an adoring and loving father to his children Jennifer Reiter (John Reiter) and Jeffrey Keith (Valery Keith).

Don had the gifts of love, joy, wisdom and laughter which he shared generously with all who knew him. He would light up a room with his smile, energy and wit. Don was a talented and successful businessman who was an integral part of the growth and development of Engineer Sales Company. He conducted all of his business dealings with integrity and genuine concern for everyone he came in contact with. Don was also a loving friend and mentor to his business partner, Kier Cooper. Don and his wife, Anne Marie, gave abundantly to those in need with their time, energy and resources. They also loved animals and cared for and trained multiple rescue poodles.

He is survived by his wife, children and granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth, his rescue poodles, Nola and Ebony, and many family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held on June 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Peacock, Newnam & White Funeral Home in Southport, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Oak Island Friends of Parks Foundation with a designation to the Salty Dog Park at www.okifriendsofparks.org
