Mr. Starr was born May 25, 1949 in Massachusetts, son of the late Thomas and Evelyn Charbonneau Starr. He lived in Rhode Island until moving to Oak Island eleven years ago. After his move to the coast, Mr. Starr enjoyed photographing the ocean and beach. He also enjoyed target shooting and cooking many delicious meals for his wife. Mr. Starr was a member of Oak Island Elks Lodge #269 and Oak Island VFW. He was preceded in death by one sister Mary Lynn Conroy.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Nancy Starr of Oak Island; two sisters, Ellen Wapner of Vermont and Laurie Gallerani of Massachusetts.
A service will be held at a later date.
