Born October 31, 1951 in Danville, VA, he was the only son of Jessie and Mildred Welch. He worked for 40 years at Duke Energy.
Don enjoyed fishing, sportscars and just hanging out with close friends!
He is survived by his life partner, Betty McNeely; his sisters, Deborah Welch and Cathy Welch and her partner, John Black; his nieces, Melissa Matte and Jessica Wolter; nephew, Matthew Welch; and two great-nieces, Autumn Wolter and Audrey Matte; and grandson Evan McNeely.
Services will be announced.
