Mrs. Harris was born on December 3, 1934, in Siler City, North Carolina, daughter of the late Harland and Nell Elder. She enjoyed golf, bridge, gardening, and her dogs. Dot was always smiling and had a bubbly personality. She cherished her family and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her three children, Richard Harris and wife Melissa, Ronald Harris and wife Sharon, and Robin Harris; four grandchildren, Abbey Harris, Mitchell Harris, Rachel Harris, and Rebecca Harris; and a brother, William Elder. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert Harris; and two sisters, Jenny Fitch and Ruth Phillips.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Cape Fear Memorial Park Cemetery in Southport.
