

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 12, 1946, the daughter of the late James Durnan and Catherine Snelling Durnan. She also was preceded in death by a brother, David Durnan, and an aunt, Dorothy (“Doss”) Hines.
Dottie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport. She loved her family, her three grandsons, her St. James friends, water aerobics, playing golf, taking long walks, and especially spending time at “The Lake” in New Hampshire with their very special lake friends/family. She will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Robert E. Kyle; their daughter, Kristen L. Kyle of Bridgeport, Connecticut; their son, James Brian Kyle and his wife Jamie of Monroe, Connecticut, and their three children, Andrew Kyle, Riley Kyle and Jake Kyle; as well as two nieces, Jennifer Durnan of Long Island, New York, and Patricia Romoro of Bayside, New York.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, 1411 North Howe Street, Southport.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport with Reverend Dr. Bryan Faggart officiating.
