Douglas Baird Prickett

Douglas Baird Prickett, 67 of Castle Hayne, NC passed away on April 11, 2018.

Mr. Prickett was born August 27, 1950 in Rochester, NY. He was the son of the late Frank Oliver Baird Prickett and Margaret Elizabeth Berry Prickett. Douglas was the head of design for Kimball International, a furniture manufacturer. He met his wife Eunie while they both were in graduate school at Rochester Institute of Technology studying design. Mr. Prickett had taught at the Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC. He was an avid woodworker and furniture designer.

Survivors include his daughter Grace Prickett of Pittsburgh, PA; a brother Daniel Prickett and wife Nancy of Kiawah Island, SC; and two sisters, Sandra Stone and husband Douglas of Southport, NC, and Susan Benavidez and husband George of Portland, TX. Mr. Prickett was preceded in death by his wife Eunie Baird.

A memorial service was held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Southport, NC.
