Edward Barry

Mr. Barry was born July 13, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York. He retired from American Bakeries after 30 years of service. Mr. Barry also retired from Nassau County New York in 2000 and retired to North Carolina to live in River Run Plantation. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport. Mr. Barry enjoyed the simple things in life such as parks, beaches and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Brian Barry, one daughter Colleen Barry and his first wife, Patricia Barry.

Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Barry of Bolivia; one son, Kevin Barry of Bolivia; one daughter, Kathleen Barry of Oak Park, California; sister-in-law, Janie Soper of Bolivia; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Trent Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-3pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport.
