

Mr. Clemmons was born February 11, 1957 in Brunswick County, son of the late Elton Dotridge Clemmons and Ruby Wilma Clemmons.
Bruce loved to hunting, fishing, gardening, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. He had worked for the Oak Island Police Department as a mechanic in the 1970's. Later he went to work for Bald Head Island where he was the marine mechanic supervisor from 1982 until his retirement in 2020.
He is survived by his three daughters, Angie Clemmons Wallace, Jessica Florence Clemmons, and Kathy Lynn Clemmons and husband Joshua Milliken; five grandchildren, Timothy Bruce Jenrette, Mallory Lynne Jenrette, Duncan Joseph Wallace, Elton Cohl James, and Caden Bruce James; a great-grandson, Jayce Alexander Jenrette; a brother, Jeffrey Clemmons and wife Kathy; and a special friend, Suzan Fogl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Evan Dean.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from noon to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service in the Brown Family Cemetery in Bolivia.
Pallbearers will be Shane Garner, Jimmy Garner, Cole James, Timothy Jenrette, Joshua Milliken, and John Porter.
