“Miss Jean” as she was affectionately known, was born October 31, 1938 in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Murdock Holden and Emma Parker Holden. She worked in Banking at Waccamaw Bank, UCB, eventually retiring from BB&T. Following her banking career, she ventured into embroidery by starting Brunswick Embroidery where she enjoyed customizing many items for her surrounding friends in Brunswick County. She was a well-known face in the local Southport nursing homes where she visited all the residents daily. Preceding her in death was her former husband, Albert Dosher, Sr., son, Charles Manning Dosher, sister, Peggy Hall, Barry, and Little Miss.
Survivors include her son Albert Dosher, Jr. and partner Joyce of Southport; Becky Dosher and granddaughter, Savannah of Southport; one granddaughter; and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, August 20, 2018 at Southport Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Drew officiating. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.
