Evelyn Grace Confer

Evelyn Grace Confer, a beloved and kind-hearted individual, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on October 25, 1930, in Muncy, Pennsylvania, Evelyn was known for her generous spirit and honesty throughout her life.

Evelyn dedicated her life to being a homemaker, where her nurturing nature and commitment to family shone brightly. Her contributions to her home and community were deeply valued.

In her personal life, Evelyn was an avid quilter. She spent countless hours creating beautiful quilts, a testament to her creativity and patience. Her quilts were not only works of art but also symbols of her love and dedication to her craft.

Evelyn resided in Southport, North Carolina, for the past three years and prior to that for the past 35 years in Waycross, Georgia, where she was cherished by those who knew her. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the lasting impact she made on the lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Confer; a son, Dana Confer; and a brother, Thomas Herr.

Mrs. Confer is survived by her son, Timothy Confer and wife Susan; four grandchildren, Jennifer Card, Monica Edmundson, Jamie Confer and Tonia Zollner; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, George Sterling Herr, Jr., Joanne Kincaid, and Roger Herr.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Ocean View United Methodist Church.
