Bruce was born, June 8, 1944 in Red Springs, NC; son of the late Bruce and Margaret Garner Schell. He was a member of the Oak Island Golf Club. Bruce was an avid golfer and Carolina Tar Heel fan.
He was an owner of The Water Boggan in Emerald Isle and gave many teenagers their first job. Bruce was very loved and will be greatly missed.
He was married to Brenda Womack Schell for 55 wonderful years. She preceded him in death in 2023.
Bruce is survived by his daughters, Toni and Brandy Schell both of Southport.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the Oak Island Golf Club.
