Mr. Stadler was born November 10, 1935, in Burlington, North Carolina, son of the late Monroe and Lucy Stadler. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from the North Carolina Ferry System.
Survivors include his beloved wife and soulmate, Cindy Stadler, with whom he was together for over 45 years; a daughter, Lynn Henderson and husband Jay; three sons, Garr Stadler, James Stadler, and Christian Stadler; grandchildren, Donease Ferris, Brittany Young and husband DJ, and Sierra Bowling and husband Eric; great-grandchildren, Maddox Bowling and Addison Bowling, as well as several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special friends and neighbors who stepped in and showed support including Kristen and James Hatcher.
Mr. Stadler was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed hunting ducks or deer, fishing in the Outer Banks with his soulmate, or golfing on a nice day. He was also an avid reader, and often you would find him in his recliner with a new book. His quick wit and dry sense of humor kept everyone around him laughing, and his artistic abilities amazed all who witnessed his artwork.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date in his favorite place, the Outer Banks.
