Mrs. Watts loved her church and her church family; she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and a “Granny” to anyone who needed her. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Raymond Watts; a son, Gene A. Watts; two brothers; six sisters; a grandson, Jimmy Brendle; and two great-granddaughters.
Survivors include her son, J. Douglas Watts and wife Lavonne; two daughters, Annette Watts Brendle and Harriet Watts Bevel; a brother, Charles Hickman; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
