Mr. Brown was born May 12, 1961 the son of James B. “Jim” Brown, Jr. and Joanne Brown. He had attended Antioch Baptist Church and had worked in construction.
In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by three brothers, Roy Brown of Raleigh, James Brown III of Bolivia, and Jack Scott Brown of Holden Beach; a sister Jodie Ann Brown of Holden Beach; several nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife Shelby Sellers.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday on the family farm at 1284 Green Lewis Road in Bolivia. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the grave site.
