James was born May 8, 1947 in Washington County, Virginia, son of the late Robert Henry Kemp and Lettie Price Kemp.
Survivors include his son, Kenny Wayne Kemp; Marjorie Leonard; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
