Bob was born in Paget Parish, Bermuda on September 15, 1939, the son of the late Gerald and Gwyneth Outerbridge. He was a veteran of the US Army and spent his entire working career in the oil, gas, and mining industry. Bob started working with Shell in 1965, later he declined a job transfer to Houston and started his own business as an Independent Landman. In 1991, he moved his business out of Denver, Colorado and worked from his home until 2003. Closing down the business in 2003, he moved to Nova Scotia for 13 years and in 2016 he moved to Southport, North Carolina. Bob suffered from Parkinson's Disease and kidney issues from 2016 until his passing.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Outerbridge; a son, Grant Outerbridge and wife Berit Rabinovitz; two grandsons, Soren Outerbridge and Esben Outerbridge; a sister, Julie Holder and husband Nat; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Outerbridge.
