He was born in Billerica, MA to James and Lenore Reid.
James was passionate about woodworking, graphic design, photography and all kinds of music. He continued to work, even at the age of 80 with his own business designing customized license plate frames.
Predeceased by his 1st wife, Cheryl Reid of Southport, NC and his 2nd wife Marilyn Reid of Sacramento CA.
Survived by his children Michael Reid of Westford, MA. Thomas Reid and his wife Pauline of Clarksville TN, Lisa Aloisi of Burlington MA, and his step son Jimmy Reid and his wife Kimberly of Grass Valley, CA.
James leaves behind 7 grandchildren. Thomas Reid Jr, Elizabeth Reid, Nicole Reid, and Vanessa Reid of Clarksville TN, Emily McDonald of Tewksbury, MA, Robert Aloisi III, Zachary Aloisi of Burlington, MA.
