I taught with Jane at Epiphany of Our Lord Elementary School in Plymouth Meeting.  We always had fun - chatting or laughing  in the hallways when kids were changing classes or headed to recess, at our lunch breaks, and after school when we were getting ready for the next day.  Jane was a very talented artist - I always admired her creative ideas she passed onto her students.  Jane was a wonderful teacher, very well- liked by her students and colleagues.  May she Rest in Peace.

I just learned of Mrs. Walsh’s passing and I just wanted to express my deepest condolences to her family - Mrs. Walsh was my teacher, but she was also one of my Mom’s very good friends- they taught school together and my mother had the upmost respect for her as a fellow educator - she was an incredible woman and I will never forget her kindness, patience, and dedication to her students. I love you, Aunt Jane. I will miss your warmth, your spirit, your sense of humor.  You were so full of light and patience, and fun. My heart is heavy because you’re not here, but I know you are watching, praying and protecting us. Forever grateful to you.

Mrs. Walsh was a beautiful soul! Her smile could light up any room. I consider myself blessed to have had our paths cross at South Brunswick Middle School where I served as SRO.   Mr. Jack, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Heaven has definitely received a beautiful angel.

Jane Walsh was a wonderful person and teacher. Both of my children  were fortunate to have her as a  teacher. She had a good rapport with middle school students. And as we all know, the middle school years can be challenging.  She will be remembered and missed by many!

Jane was my oldest friend. We met in kindergarten. She went to public school and I was at St. Mathias. We spent our summers together, joined the Brownies and later Girl Scouts. We were bunk mates at camp Indian Run for many years. So many memories.
We were friends all thru High School. She knew my grade school and high school friends. I got married and started a family and she went on to join the convent.
We did keep in touch  but, we did have separate lives.
Jane always kept in touch. Whenever we got together she loved remembering our life we had as friends.
She was so thoughtful and caring. I know she made a mark on anyone that knew her.
Even though I didn't see her often she was always in my thoughts and prayers.
The world was a better place because of Jane. She will be missed.

My heart breaks over the loss of Jane.  Jane was an amazing friend for these past 40 years.  She and you all are like family to me.  You all took me in, let me practically (and literally) live with you, and share your lives.  Her move to North Carolina was my loss, although we visited back and forth many times and continued to share our joys and sorrows, speaking regularly by phone.  I will always remember her extraordinary kindness and how she lived her life with joy and optimism that came from her deep devotion to God.  Jane cherished her family most of all, especially Jack, who we all called “St. Jack” because he was so good and loving to Jane.  We all will miss her terribly, but our memories of who she was and how she affected our lives will bring joy; we all are better people for having known Jane.  Hopefully, with time, we will be able to celebrate her life and the happy memories of the love she gave to us all.

You know those tough cookie teachers who end up being the most impactful and ultimately some of your favorites? Meet Mrs. Jane Walsh.The person who caught me squinting one too many times in class and realized I needed glasses. The teacher who was probably terrified herself that day, but on 9/11 showed NO fear and held our class together in a time of uncertainty. The woman who for decades, reminded me she still owned that Breast Cancer TY Beanie Baby bear I brought her on a visit to her home during the initial fight and treatment. I cherished seeing this woman around town. The quality of hug she gave never wavered. Seeing this Obituary truly took the air out of my lungs. She was a literal Earth angel. You will be sorely missed by the community you touched and impacted so much, and I am a better person for just simply having the honor to have known you.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Jane's passing. We got to know Jane and Jack through Sacred Heart Church, and we had often gone out to dinner with them after Saturday's 5:00 Mass. We know Jane had been suffering for quite a while, and it's good that this is no longer the case, but it still will leave a big void in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jack and the family. God bless, and rest in peace, our friend.

I am heartbroken over the loss of Jane.  She was not only a dear friend but someone who shaped our family in lasting ways.  As my daughter’s confirmation sponsor and as a teacher to both of my children, she gave them faith, guidance and love that will stay with them forever.

Our lives are richer because of her kindness, wisdom and devotion.  She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Jane, I will throw my shoes under my bed every night and say a little prayer for you, as you did for me!

Mrs. Walsh was my 6th grade English teacher, and one of the toughest, but best, I’ve had. She was compassionate, kind, and made sure you knew your stuff before you left her class. I am thankful to have had her as a teacher. I will miss occasionally running into her in Southport. She always remembered me. My condolences and prayers for her family. I hope knowing how loved she was brings you peace and comfort. God bless.

I had the privilege of being taught by Mrs. Walsh in 7th grade at SBMS back in 99-00. She was a wonderful teacher & lady who made English fascinating. I send my deepest sympathy & condolences to her family & friends. She left a lasting impression on me and many others!

Mrs. Walsh was a light in my life during my middle school years, a constant source of encouragement and world-opening wisdom. She taught me so much about life simply by being the incredible person she was. To know her was to see true beauty, both in her spirit and her actions. While my heart is heavy, I am so grateful for every moment spent in her company. May Mr. Jack and her family find peace in the many lives she touched so deeply. She will be missed beyond words.

To the family of my dear friend Jane. I had the privilege of knowing and loving Jane for over forty years. I worked with her at Memorial Middle School and it was my joy.  Days were filled with laughter as well as hard work. We shared stories of family and life.  She loved all of you desperately!! We kept in touch over the years even though work and retirement took us in different directions. There were quick visits, cards and phone calls.  I visited her and Jack twice in NC, the last visit this past summer. I treasured every minute of our time together.  She stole my heart years ago and I will always love her. I am praying for all of you especially, the dedicated love of her life, Jack.
