Jean was born June 17, 1945 in Charlotte, NC, daughter of the late John and Catherine Auten.
She is survived by her two children, Mike Stroupe and Christy Ford; three grandchildren, Zachary Stroupe and wife Emily, Nicholas Stroupe and wife MacKenzie, and Molly Shore; four great-grandchildren, Paxton Stroupe, Henisley Stroupe, Owen Stroupe, and Fisher Stroupe; and sister, Rebecca Cato.
Mrs. Stroupe was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Stroupe; a brother, Johnny Auten; a sister, Gwynn Locklear; daughter-in-law, Camie Stroupe; and a son-in-law, Richard Ford.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Garden in Mint Hill, NC at a later date.
