Jill was born July 4, 1970, daughter of the late Ted and Julie Prater. She was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and loved anything pink. Jill loved her job and all the members at the Bald Head Island Club.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney Melton, Jr.; five children, Trey Carey, Brooke Pigman, Aubrey Mcardell, Ariel Miller, and Alex Melton; four grandchildren, Addison Pigman, Carlene Largin, Samuel Pigman, and James Wyatt Largin; three sisters, Robin, Charlene, and Karen; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Tomlinson officiating.
