He was the son of the late Sebastian and Patricia Martin Bartolotta of Cromwell. Joseph is survived by his sons, Nicholas Bartolotta of Leland, and Nathan Bartolotta of Middletown, Connecticut, a daughter Arden Tomassetti of Westport, Connecticut, three brothers, Michael Bartolotta and Jeanine, Steven Bartolotta and Lisa, James Bartolotta and Nancy, two sisters, Susan Bartolotta Philipchik and Donald, and Elizabeth Bartolotta Marchinkoski and David, his dear friend, Vicki Peters, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joseph took after his father with his passion for wood-working and would often make unique pieces for his friends and family. He also had a love of food and turned cooking into his lifelong profession, working as a chef in several local restaurants. He enjoyed being outdoors with his bike, his frisbee, and his beloved dogs. Joseph lived life to its fullest and loved meeting new people. He was a great storyteller and would draw you in by reciting a joke or telling a tale of his most recent adventure. He will always be remembered for his big smiles and warm hugs. Most importantly, he loved his family and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel.
