Joe was a good friend who I hadn’t seen in the past 2 years.  We played tennis together regularly (when he was playing) and I was fortunate to have him paint me a masterpiece (Vernazza, Italy).  I have missed him over the past two years and knowing that I won’t see him again saddens me deeply.  I will cherish the great conversations that we shared.  Jeff Kimbro

Joseph lived life with enthusiasm…full of love, friendship and fun.  He shared his passion for art and music and would even bring gifts to his students.  He had a giving heart and was truly authentic.  Condolences to Cathe, his family and friends who will miss him dearly💔

Joe, the world is a colder more lonely place without you. I really love jamming with you as we tried to sing the Great American song! I know there's a spot for you having a great beyond, and I know that you're laughing at us poor Mortals who are waiting for our turn to transition and see you once more! I dug your Italian sensibilities and you're way with words. You Devotion to the Arts is without parallel. Your devotion for your kids and family is without president because you wrote the book on how to love. Save a soft place for us to land when we get there because I know we'll see each other again pal. Oh, I think I owe you some money!:-) we'll catch up on the other side. Love from Donna and me.

My deepest condolences to Cathe and Joseph’s family.  Joseph was a wonderfully creative artist.  He was kind, generous and full of love and life.  I am so thankful and honored to have been one of his students.  With his guidance and instruction Joseph helped spark a love and joy for painting in me.  He will be forever in my heart and I am blessed to have known him.  I will always remember Joseph telling me that I need to paint with bigger brushes!

I took several classes with Joseph, at the Community College  and  at his Gallery! He was an excellent Teacher and Artist!

I feel so lucky to have been able to take one of his classes and learn from such a talented and giving teacher. Best wishes to his family and friends. Safe travels, Joseph.

I’m really going to miss him.  He was always so upbeat and funny.  He wasn’t afraid to challenge his students and always pushed me outside of the proverbial box I liked to keep myself in.   I’m at a loss as to how I will finish my never ending boat painting and how I could even continue learning without him.  My heart goes out to his family and friends and the void he leaves in all of our lives and the art world.  We will all miss you dearly, Joseph!  Looking forward to seeing the clouds you’re going to help God paint! 💔😢

My most sincere sympathy to Cathe, Frank and the dozens if not hundreds of people that Joseph touched. He will forever hold a spot in my heart. Rick said, when he gets to heaven, I hope he is given a guitar instead of a harp. I say, I hope he gets to paint sunrises.

I shall miss his laughter the joy he found teaching and the concentration he had while working on his paintings.  He was a talented and astounding artist and man.
