Joy was a wonderful person. She was wonderful to work with and a fun person to be around. She had a beautiful singing voice and I am sure she will be singing up in heaven now. She loved my black and white cookies too.

God Bless you Joy!

I met Mrs. Knotts only one time when my husband and I visited the Brunswick Inter-Agency program at BCC. We were touring the facility and meeting staff and students in order to check it out as a future day program for our adult son, who has Down Syndrome and who will be moving with us when we retire to St. James in the next year.
Mrs. Knotts was in the cafeteria with students at the time. And it was obvious the love she had for them as well as the love and devotion she received in return!
She spoke about retiring “in a year or so” when we talked with her; a fellow staff member spoke right up and declared they were “not gonna let that happen”! And we were also disappointed to hear our son would not have the privilege of getting to know this wonderful lady!!
Certain people leave big gaping holes when they leave an organization or place of employment. It was obvious to my husband and to me that Mrs. Knotts was going to be one of those individuals!
Our sincere sympathies to her family, friends, former co-workers and her students at Brunswick Inter-Agency.

I, as so many others are very saddened at the news of Joy's passing. I loved to hear her sing "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" and now she is looking into His Beautiful Eyes of love and mercy. She is blessed far above all of us that are left behind with only memories to fill our lives. I'm praying for Gods Holy Spirit to fill the void only He can fill. Mike, Tyler and family know she loved you all beyond measure and as much as you all loved her, God loved her more and wanted her home with Him. I love you and I'm sending prayers for Gods comfort and peace for you all.

Joy's going to be with God is so heartbreaking. I hope God had a really good reason for coming to get her so unexpectantly. I am so sorry for all of you and hope each of you will continue each day of your lives to feel her undying love for you.
with love and all my heart, Theresa

Mike & Tyler , I’m so sorry to hear this. Joy really was a Joy! I loved to sing with her anytime I had a chance. We got into trouble at choir practice more than once. I know you are saddened, but we know she’s Home now. Love to all the family

Michael, Tyler and the rest of the family.
I was so saddened to receive word of Joy's passing. I know that no words can ease the sorrow in your hearts, but take strength in the many lives she touched, and the many who will feel her loss.
She was a wonderful friend, wife , mother and the Lord has welcomed one more Saint home for eternity.
Lori , myself and our family will have you all in our thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
Love in Christ always my friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Knotts family as you go through this most difficult time. Joy was one in a million, her zest for life, her great sense of humor, love for her family and those she was closest to was seen in all that she did for others. There were a lot of great memories while I had the pleasure of working side by side with her at BIP, she taught me a lot about how to live in grace and see the humor and love in the everyday...she lived it and what a gift she gave others to do the same. May you find peace and strength in the days ahead.
