Keith Walter Johnson

Mr. Johnson was born December 6, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Walter and Viola Johnson. Keith was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be remembered as a quiet and gentle man who loved his Swedish traditions. He had been a math teacher for several years until he left teaching to go into the information technology field. Keith coached his son’s sports teams, loved golf, and was an avid reader. After his retirement to St. James in 2006, Keith joined the Brunswick Newcomers Club in Southport. He was very active in the club having served on several committees and organizing several road rallies.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Barbara Johnson; a son David Johnson; three grandchildren, Marin Johnson, Kole Johnson, and Kaylin Johnson. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son Andrew Johnson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
