Lee Alsbury, 60 of Boiling Spring Lakes, passed away on January 11, 2021.

Mr. Alsbury was born May 26, 1960, son of Jannette Curtis Alsbury and the late Herbert William Alsbury. Lee was a carpenter on Bald Head Island for 29 years. He loved to draw and color. Lee loved his wife, NASCAR, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Joan Alsbury; his mother Jannette "Jenny" Alsbury; four children, Regina Fritchey, Anica McNichol and husband Tim, Margie Alsbury and husband Todd, and Ashley Wilson and husband Jimmy; seven grandchildren, Jason, Andy, Wesley, Ashton, Lauryn, Emilee, and Blake; a brother, Victor Alsbury; and several loving cousins and extended family members. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Benton.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel.

Lee was a longtime friend of mine when I was in the area,but life took over and I've been away for some time,his wife Joan was a joy to be around,I really feel for his kids as they loved him so,last of the real men,RIP my friend

Lee was my brother in law, I loved him like a brother. He loved my sister unconditionally she was his Queen, soulmate best friend and so much more she will miss him deeply. He had four beautiful daughters. They were his world.
Seven grandchildren each and everyone of them were the apple of his eyes. His beautiful Mother which also his friend he absolutely adored her. Many friends and family he loved also.
