Linwood Malpass

Mr. Malpass was born on January 19, 1933, son of the late James Daniel Malpass and Ada Leola Clewis Malpass. He was a long time member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. He retired from Wholesome Bakery in Wilmington where he was a mechanic.

He is survived by his five children, Gene Malpass, Dexter Malpass and wife Daun, Chris Hyatt and husband Thomas, Pam Braun and husband Keith, and Beverly Lopez; 12 grandchildren, Little Gene Malpass, Rebecca Malpass, Jessica Chapel, Melissa Ballenger, William Lewis, Adam Malpass, Alex Malpass, Tiffany Teachey, Keith Braun, Joe Lopez, Jessie Johnson, and Candace Fesperman; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Malpass; three sisters, Nancy Malpass, Frances Shue, and Joyce Malpass.

Mr. Malpass was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Malpass; a son, Keith Malpass; two brothers, Tom Malpass and Wade Malpass; and a sister, Evelyn Barber.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Winnabow with Reverend Charles Drew officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will have a reception following the service in the fellowship hall.
