Lisa was born April 13, 1964, daughter of Patricia Schlaefer and the late Ronald Schlaefer. Lisa is one of the greatest moms, daughters, sisters, and aunts anyone could have asked for. She was there for me and her mother all the time and would help with anything, no matter what it was. She was a caring person, always helping family through the good times as well as the hard times. She loved her ice cream and going shopping often, but one of the things she cherished the most was her pets. She loved all her cats and especially her dog Bambi, who is her little fur baby.
She worked at Southport Health & Rehabilitation Center as a CNA and was such a loved person at work also. She enjoyed helping people; she was such a selfless person and always said caring for others was her passion. Everyone from her workplace, including friends, coworkers, residents, and their families, all loved her.
Everyone is going to miss her deeply. She will be in the hearts of many people who will remember her for her positive attitude and how she would go above and beyond to help anybody.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Jonathan Mace; her sister, Beth Schlaefer; a brother, Jeffrey Schlaefer; two nieces, Kaitlan Mace and April Mace; and a nephew, Alex Mace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mace.
The family will have visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, August 19, 2024 with the funeral service at 11:00 am in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cape Fear Memorial Park in Southport.
