Lou was born in Brooklyn, New York to Louis Edward Klotz, Sr and Marion Doyle Klotz on May 8, 1946. He went to school in Brooklyn, New York. Lou married Patricia Crouther on November 11, 1967 in Brooklyn. He graduated from New York Community College with an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, Lou worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation for 28 years in Massachusetts.
Lou had many talents including playing music, writing songs, woodworking, boating, fishing and photography. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and traveling. He retired to New Hampshire and then moved to North Carolina where he enjoyed spending time with friends bowling, playing billiards and watching the ships at the waterfront in Southport.
Lou is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Klotz, son Richard Edward Klotz, daughter Dianne Elizabeth Klotz Goolgasian, brother James Klotz and his grandchildren Jared Goolgasian, Olivia Klotz, Ashley Goolgasian and Lauren Klotz, and his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
