Mr. Dishman was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 9, 1945, son of the late Willie Cloyd Dishman and Virginia Hall Dishman. He was an avid duck hunter and fisherman who loved spending time on his beloved boat, “Just One.” Exactly like the name, there was “just one” Luther and he will be missed by so many.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Cynthia Dishman; daughters Lindsey Hall Dishman, Bianca Dishman Miller and husband Matthew and DeAnna Dishman Sellers and husband Keith Sellers; brother, W.C. Dishman and wife Judy of Rixeyville, Virginia; five grandchildren, Urijah and Caelyn Miller and Madison, Sydney, and Jake Sellers; and four nephews, Chris and Chad Dishman, and Travis and Brendle Bottiglier.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00am Friday, April 21, 2017 at Southport Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
