

Ms. Phillips was born October 22, 1940 in West Virginia to the late Ralph Harold Halsey and Omeda Ellen Halsey. For more than 20 years, Margee managed Betty's Azalea Ranch in Fairfax, Virginia. In 2005, she moved to St. James, became a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and worked at the Christmas House. Margee was active in the St. James Service Club, where she used her talent in making bows. Each Christmas, Ms. Phillips knitted hats and booties for babies in the NICU at Reston Hospital in Reston, Virginia. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include two sons; Don Phillips Jr.of Parrish, Florida, and Darrell Phillips and wife Adrienne of Haymarket, Virginia; a daughter Darlene Phillips of St. James; Margaret's partner Dennis Roupe; three brothers; David Halsey and wife Ellen of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Richard Halsey of Heath, Ohio, and Sidney Halsey and wife Clare of St. Augustine, Florida; two sisters, Edna Sieber of Jeffersonton, Virginia, and Helen Vazquez and husband Peter of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Brandon Phillips, Kyle Phillips, Corbyn Harris, Corey Phillips, and Grace Phillips. Ms. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband Don Phillips, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October, 26, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Reverend Stuart Milton, Reverend Mark Hicks, and Reverend Garrett Albertson will officiate the service and a reception will follow in Murrow Hall.
