Mrs. Hallas was born April 29, 1930, daughter of the late John and Florence Cooper. She was a long-time member of Oak Island Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Hallas; her granddaughter, Lindsey Dyer; two great-grandsons; and a sister, Ruth Smith. Mrs. Hallas was preceded in death by her husband, William Hallas and twelve brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Cape Fear Memorial Park Cemetery.
