Marilyn Hill

Mrs. Hill was born August 5, 1939 in Spring Hill, West Virginia. Her parents were James H. Martin Sr. and Libby Martin. She was a lifelong Nazarene who enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, and sewing. We all said goodbye to a wonderful loving woman, mother, and friend. She was a registered nurse that cared for many patients though out her lifetime. God has another Angel. Nursing was her passion. She worked in home health for WellCare and previously in critical care at Brunswick Hospital, Cape Fear Hospital, and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Cephus Hill; a son Richard Hill and wife Nina of Boiling Spring Lakes; a daughter Sheryl Dixon and husband Jacky of Rocky Point; four grandchildren, James Bradford Wilson and wife Katie-Rose, Patricia Kay Freemyer, Karen Kaye McKinney and husband Chad, and Sara Katherine Hill; seven great-grandchildren, and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 4th in the Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Christian Williams officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
