Maxine Mull Tapp

Maxine was born November 10,1940 in Burke County, NC. She was the daughter of David Bristol Mull and Edith Simmons Mull.

Maxine was a retired correctional officer and worked for the state of NC. She enjoyed the beach and dancing. She especially enjoyed shagging with her husband William J. Tapp, who preceded her in death in 2011. During her retirement she enjoyed working part time with her husband cleaning houses on the island with her husband earning her the auspicious title”Maximus Dustis Aurelius, Princess Warrior Cleaner.”

Maxine also was preceded in death by her daughter Vickie Clontz Hildebrand, her sisters Jean Whisenant, Irilda Stephens and Ellen Bailey.

She is survived by a son Timothy Clontz(Susan) daughter Carol Neal(Steve) and grand dog Wilbur.

Grandchildren Lauren Causey,Logan Causey and Kelsey Clontz also nieces and nephews she treated as her own.

The family is grateful for Liberty Hospice Care and Terrabella Assisted Living where Maxine was treated like family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. She will be truly missed by her many friends and family.
