Miguel Rodriguez

Miguel was born May 31, 1936 in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, son of the late Miguel Rodriguez and Asuncion Cabuffa. He lived in Dos Bocas, Puerto Rico before moving to Bronx, New York when he was nine years old. While working in Manhattan he met the love of his life, Francisca Sanchez and married on July 5, 1962. They started their family in the Bronx until moving to Manhattan's Lower East Side. In 1993, they made their home in Raleigh, North Carolina before settling in Southport, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raul Rodriguez.

Survivors include his wife Francisca Sanchez Rodriguez of Southport; five children, Michael "Jr" Rodriguez, of Maine, Maria Luciano of Yonkers, New York, Frances Murray and husband Chad of Oak Island, Miguel Rodriguez of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Ana Galloza and Rick of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Vicenta Rodriguez.

In accordance with his wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
