Mrs. Wood was born December 21, 1931, daughter of the late William Albert Leach and Ethel Zelma Leach. Patsy was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a past-member of the Brunswick Town Chapter of the DAR. She was a member of Southport Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two children, Ted Wood and wife Brenda, and Kimberly Caison and husband Willie; four grandchildren, Steve Wood and wife Shanetta, David Wood, Heidi Bowling and husband Clint, and Jason Whitt; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Kathy Leach.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Theodore S. Wood, Sr.; and a brother, William Albert Leach, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eddie Hicks officiating. The family will have visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Entombment will be private for the family.
