Paul Alfred Urban Lombard

Paul Alfred Urban Lombard, age 76, of Southport, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Paulette Lombard, nee Kolerski; two children, Michael Paul Lombard and Shannon Metzler, nee Lombard, and her husband Matthew; two grandchildren, Conner Metzler and Lena Metzler; sister, Nancy Kubiszyn, nee Lombard, and husband Tom; sister-in-law, Sharon Lombard; five nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Lombard. Paul was born April 1, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, son of the late Edward and Alfrieda Lombard. He was an avid runner having completed more than 40 marathons, numerous triathlons, biathlons, and road races. Paul enjoyed golfing, softball, basketball, fishing, camping, cross country skiing, sledding, snowball fights, cribbage, and euchre. He had numerous deep friendships throughout the country with whom he enjoyed these activities. The family will have a celebration of Paul's life from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at their home.
