Fond memories of my "Aunt" Penny - my mother's dear friend. She was a bright and fun light throughout my childhood and I will always be grateful that she traveled north for our wedding. The beautiful teapot she crafted as a gift remains in our kitchen.

I have known Penny for 50 years. She has always been so helpful in anything I needed. We lived next door to each other in Baltimore during the early 70's. Though we had not seen each other in many years, we stayed in contact by phone and email. She had a great heart. She will be missed by all her friends.

Penny and I were roommates through college and beyond.  We had many fun times.  We also both worked intensive education care at the hospital.  We last spent time on the beaches of NC waiting for the turtles to boil.   I will miss the fun times and email exchanges.
My favorite memory is the neighborhood jug band with Penny playing a washtub base.   She really got into it. 

Brunswick County Artists loses one of their best.  Penny was an avid member of Associated Artists of Southport serving for many years as an officer on their board of directors.  As a member of Oak Island Art Guild she served as treasurer and for several years she was the one receiving applications and assigning spots for the vendors at the Oak Island Arts and Crafts Festival.  She worked as a potter and also did some beautiful cut stained glass pictures.  She also was a retired nurse and moved to Southport from Baltimore Md., in 2004.  The artists in our county will certainly miss her.
