Mr. Dooley was born September 7, 1949 in Troutville, VA, son of the late Juanita Dooley. Bob spent the majority of his life in Northern Virginia working as an accountant for Columbia First Federal, later Freddie Mac. He retired to Carolina Shores in 2017 with his wife Diane to be closer to family. Bob was an avid golfer, he played weekly with his group "The Three Putts" and also with a group from Carolina Shores. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Diane; two sons, Rob Dooley and wife Christy and John Dooley and wife Shannon; a granddaughter, Renee Dooley;a brother, Al Dooley and wife Linda; a step-daughter, Debra Fitzsimmons and husband Andrew; two step-grandchildren, Samantha and James; a step-son Rob Tebaldi; and many other extended family members.
A private family service will be held and a public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
