Mrs. Bridges was born on October 10, 1944 in Clinton, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clarence Marvin Thornton, Sr. and Jessie Daughtry Thornton. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob McKeithan, and her second husband, Marvin Bridges.
She was a member of the Oak Island Moose Lodge #2059 and the Oak Island Women of the Moose #2452.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Furnier and husband Brent; three grandchildren, Tyler Furnier and wife Olivia, Austin Furnier, and Fe Furnier; three great-grandchildren, Cole Furnier, Savannah Furnier, and Addison Furnier; a brother, Marvin Thornton, Jr.; and an "adopted daughter", Colleen Bodiford.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Faison, North Carolina.
