Sandra Kay "Sandy" Price

Sandy was born November 28, 1957, daughter of the late Linsey and Thelma Robbins. She worked for many years as a dispatcher for the Oak Island police department. She later in life retired as dispatcher for Bald Head Island Ferry. Sandy was affectionately known as "Maw-Maw" and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was selfless beyond measure, putting the welfare of all those around her far above any concern for herself. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed traveling with her family, baking with the grandkids, making blankets, and observing the beauty of God's creation through her bedroom window. She loved spending time at the Southport waterfront, watching the boats pass, and feeding the birds. She spent time daily thanking God for her blessings and working to strengthen their holy bond. She would faithfully stream the sermons of Lighthouse Pentecostal as well as Sonrise Baptist every Sunday. She loved her life and was thankful for each day she was given. She wore a smile even through her toughest days. Her faith and love of God helped her have peace and grace through to her final breath.

Survivors include her two children, Angie Sasser and husband Virgil, and DJ Price and wife Kimmy; nine grandchildren, Austin Sasser and wife Ahlonia, Justin Sasser, Evelyn Sasser, Lilly Pruitt, Seth Dobson, Kade Dobson, Noah Price, Jordan Daniels, and Jayden Daniels; five great-grandchildren, Aviana Sasser, Adalynne Sasser, Karmin Pruitt, JR Pruitt, and Luke Pruitt; a sister, Cathy Robbins; four brothers, Ronnie Robbins, Steve Robbins, Mike Robbins, and Gene Robbins.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Robbins.

The family will have visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Peacock - Newnam White Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Winnabow with Rev. Charles A. Drew officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
