

Born on September 28, 1941, in Fort Myers, Florida, Sharon was the daughter of Willie Dora Golden Hires and Jessie Goodman Hires.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Wayne Delap; and her sister, Roxanne Hires.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sherri McGaha, Sabrina Winpigler (Chris Winpigler), Sherryl Adsit, and Lisa Messner (Keith Messner). She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many treasured friends in Cape Coral, Florida, and her second family at TerraBella, where she formed countless meaningful friendships.
Sharon had a remarkable artistic eye and a special love for antique jewelry. She found great joy in discovering, buying, selling, restoring, and appreciating beautiful pieces, each with its own story. She loved music, dancing, and laughter, and brought warmth and energy wherever she went.
Known for her determination, generosity, and kind spirit, Sharon touched the lives of many. The memories she created with family and friends will be treasured forever and will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who loved her.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held in Fort Myers, Florida, at a later date.
