Sheila Mansfield Bell

Sheila was born, January 20, 1961 in Lee County, NC; daughter of the late Floyd Ray Mansfield and Peggy Joyce Cotten. Sheila worked for 25 years in area local government and served on the Oak Island town council for 8 years. She spent the last part of her life working with her brothers at Mansfield Brothers HVAC. She enjoyed vacationing on cruise ships, she loved her animals, relaxing in her pool and gardening. Sheila had a special group of friends she enjoyed spending time with. She was loved by all who came in contact with her. Sheila loved family more than anything.

She is survived by her soul mate/significant other, Jason Waterman; son; Jamie Bell; brothers, Perry Mansfield (Darlene), Sandy Mansfield (Helen), and Tracy Brewer; grandson, Brantley Bell; many nephews and one very special great niece, Westlyn.

Sheila is preceded in death by her brother, James Mansfield.

A memorial service will be held August, 14, 2026 at Peacock-Newnam and White Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mark Sharp officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 2:00-3:00 pm. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
