Susan Aileen Robinson

Susan was born March 20, 1955 in Waynesboro, PA, daughter of the late Samuel M. Gates and Bertha Newman Gates. She was a graduate of Waynesboro Senior High, Award Beauty School, and the Baltimore School of Message. Susan was certified in Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Yoga Fit, Synergy Dance, group fitness, and sound healing. After 28 years in cosmetology, she left the profession to teach Yoga, Tai Chi, and Zumba, as well as being an active member of the healing arts community.

She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Robinson; three children, Brian M. Robinson and wife Shannon of Hampstead, NC, Shelly Holmes and husband Steven of West Olive, MI, and Carly N. Robinson and partner Thomas A. Balestrieri of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Aja R. Stenger and husband Arthur, Alec T. Robinson, Seth A. Holmes, Abigail L. Robinson, and Braydon M. Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Brianne N. Stenger, Baylee S. Stenger, and Jimmy A. Stenger; and four siblings, Marie Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC, Samuel Gates of Waynesboro, PA, Michael Gates of Hagerstown, MD, and Sharon Gates of South Mountain, PA.

A celebration of her life will be held in March of 2026.
