Troy was born March 15, 1963, son of the late Carroll Gene Speights and Linda Jean Benner Speights. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Island and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Troy had worked in construction his whole life. He would help people in any way that he possibly could. Troy loved life and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dennis Speights; two children, Jessica Speights and husband Chris Hood, and Michael Speights and wife Danine; three grandchildren, Aiden, Nathan, and Alyssa; a sister, Gina Lynn Fesperman and husband Mitch; and a brother, Stuart Speights.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Oak Island. Burial will follow at Cape Fear Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have visitation on Wednesday, March 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home.
