Victoria Augusta Hoffmann

Victoria Augusta Hoffmann of Southport, NC passed away on December 3, 2025 at the age of 97. Known as “Tory" to her family, and “Victoria” to her NC friends, she was born on February 19, 1928 in West Babylon, NY to the late William H. Heddendorf and Victoria Danjunas Heddendorf.

She began working at 16 and spent most of her life in office jobs, including 20 years at Republic Aviation on Long Island, New York where she met her last husband of 25 years, Edwin F. Hoffmann. He died on New Year’s Eve, 1988 at their home on Oak Island. They had formerly lived in Niles, MI.

Victoria really enjoyed her life cooking, gardening, and always having a pet dog. Unfortunately cancer ran in the family and Victoria chose to go her way at the SECU Hospice House in Bolivia, NC.

Tory is survived by nieces Claudia Hillenbrand of Philadelphia, PA, Kathleen Davis (husband Mark Jones) of SanAntonio, TX, and Diane Meyers of Columbia, MD; cousins Patricia Pfost of Hillsborough, NC, and Robert Wilcox (wife Shelly) of Kissee Mills, MO; and other loving family.

There will be a short graveside prayer service at her burial on January 3, 2026, 11:00AM, at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
