We have good memories of staying with Bobbie and Bill when we were just getting engaged Christmas 1959. You were a very special, loving couple. You happened to be my cousin, but you both were like my friends. We were both blessed with a wonderful marriage, that lasted for us fifty eight years. Bill was a master of the grill and made us the best Barbeque chicken we had ever had.
May God bless you and your family.. With love, Beverly and Otis Parker

My parents, John & Mary Alford and sister, Brenda lived on Newbold St Raleigh, NC when I was born. Bill, Bobbie and Teresa were our neighbors across the street. I was named after Bobbie and they were dear friends of my parents. My parents had a playhouse in our backyard that was on the edge of a steep hill and Teresa owned a peddle car. My dad was at work with our family car, when I drove down the hill in the peddle car. My first remembrance of Bill; was when he drove me to the hospital to get my head stitched up. My dad always talked about how clean and shiny Bill kept his cars and the hardwood floors shining like glass.
I was fortunate to see Bill and Bobbi earlier in December and had a great visit. Bill mentioned what he remember about me living across the street and he shared his railroad memories with my husband, Danny (as his father worked with the railroad in Virginia).
The picture included is Bill, Bobbie, Teresa, my sister Brenda and me. Bill was a good Christian man and I am blessed to know this family.
